What worked this time?

Anytime you sell at a fair you don’t know who is coming to shop. So, some items that worked the last time, may not work another time. That is exactly what happened this time around.

Lets go over what worked!

  1. Waterproof stickers

My top sold item during the fair are the waterproof stickers. I didn’t even have my table set up yet and someone walked by and noticed my sticker board. They want to buy the aloha vibes only sticker! Throughout the day, you could see people being drawn to the stickers as they walked and stared.

The most bought sticker was the musubi and poke bowl though! So, I might add more Hawaii oriented stickers in the future!

2. Keychains

Now last time we didn’t sell many keychains. But I displayed them a little differently this time. Instead of them being packaged and in a box, I bought a jewelry stand and hung them from there. I took them out of the plastic and placed them in a box to mix them up. Alot of people were drawing to go digging in the little box for the keychain they wanted. So that’s something I’ll have to remember for next time!

3. Special sales

This time around I decided to have a special sale!

I decided about a month ago that certain stickers will be on sale I just didn’t know when or how. I felt like this was a perfect opportunity to start that sale! These stickers are not waterproof and are just for every day, decoration use so I am going to convert them into waterproof stickers in the future, maybe redesign them as well because my art is always changing, and I always try to improve it.

But a lot of people dug through that box lol. That sale will be a part of the shop until those stickers run out <3

4. Crochet Pumpkins, and mini octopus!

This was by total accident! I had learned over the week how to make these cute octopus and make a couple. I wasn’t going to sell them, but someone encouraged me to so I brought them along! I thought one of them wasn’t very good looking but by the end of the fair, they were all gone! I was super surprised! So I will be adding these to the website as soon as i make more!

The pumpkins weren’t selling at first. One person who already came to my table had said they didn’t even know I was selling pumpkins lol. But this was after I rearranged it. I brought the pumpkins down and in the front of everything ! Its so important to move your table around to see what works and what doesn’t! Give it height put something you want to sell in the front of everything. Have a neat and easy set up that is easy but eye catching. In the end, we sold all pumpkins but three and all octopus were sold!
