My experience
I am someone who loves to be prepared. But unfortunately, the week of the fair was pretty busy. My daughter had her birthday, and she was out of school for fall break. I had to restock some items; I ran out of ink. Lots of things happened that stressed me out lol. Fast forward to October 6 and 7 I spent those days planning out my table, making sure I had all the signs ready. I sat down to price my items; accordingly, I designed more Halloween stickers because I felt like I didn’t have enough. I took inventory of all the items so after I could track what sold and what didn’t (because I didn’t do that last time lol). There was so much stuff I should’ve done sooner, and I was SO tired the night before lol. It’s crazy because you spend weeks preparing for this event and it seems to be over in a flash!
Overall, though, I think it went pretty well! It makes you feel good when you’re still setting up and someone wants to buy a sticker already! lol I don’t know if that’s breaking the rules so don’t do as I say lol. In the next blog I will go over the most sold items this time. Stay tuned for that. We also made new friends and vendors! We also saw returning vendors as well! I don’t know why, but this set up was faster than last time! we had about 1 hour to go before we were officially open so I decided to walk around to look! There are so many talented people that were at this craft fair. From dog items, to notebooks, from books, to Hawaii themed items, flowers in resin, food!
It was amazing though! Thank you to everyone that stopped by and bought something because it feels good see people enjoying my items!
Last time my mom didn’t bring too many items to show, this time she brought and made a lot hoping to sell! I even bought her this cubicle shelf to stack her items in and give height to the table! She had items like coasters, dishcloths, potholders, shawls, scarf, totes, purses, and pumpkins! She was nervous. She hasn’t worked at a job for several years because of health issues. So, the opportunity to make her own money was so exciting! Although she didn’t make as many sales as she wanted to, we left grateful to those who did buy!
